Information Service Bulletin
The IECA Information Service Bulletin is a two-way communication system which links admission officers and program service representatives with independent educational consultants. The Information Service Bulletin provides IECA members with current information on potential openings and opportunities in educational institutions, latest news on programs and services, and staff changes. The ISB is for the confidential use of consultants only, allowing schools to share information in confidence. For more information, contact us at info@IECAonline.com.
IECA College & School Tour Guide
This members-only guide is updated monthly, and includes tour contact names, phone numbers, and email

Campus Tours
In conjunction with IECA and other educational conferences, consultant tours of nearby campuses is a major pre-conference activity. Such visits enable consultants to better understand the social environment and communicate more effectively to clients. In addition, many schools and colleges routinely invite consultants for campus visits throughout the year. Such invitations are communicated through the IECA newsletter, Insights.

Professional Liability Insurance
IECA has teamed with the American Professional Agency to offer professional liability insurance to IECA members. Both Professional and Associate members are eligible to receive insurance through American

Free Publications from the Embassy of Canada (New!)
The Embassy of Canada is offering IECA members free copies of the 2008 Directory of Canadian Universities. 
This normally sells for $44.95 plus shipping. They are also offering free copies of the popular Maclean’s Magazine Guide to Canadian Universities, which normally sells for $19.95. These are two resources for educational consultants who want the latest information on specific schools in Canada. Hundreds of Heads Weekly E-Newsletter Offer
IECA has teamed up with Hundreds of Heads and co-branded their Advicemail online newsletters for IECA members. Advicemail consists of two weekly e-mail newsletters: HeadsUp! Get Into College, and HeadsUp! Freshman Year. These newsletters are nice additional sources of ideas and help for students who are preparing to apply to college and for new college freshmen. IECA members can sign up to receive Advicemail for themselves free of charge and also offer to any of their clients for free. The newsletters also provide a link to search for an IECA member consultant on our Web site. IECA members can also volunteer to write advice for one or more topics for the weekly column, IECA Counselor’s Corner, where our members give advice on a relevant topic to college students. You may provide your photo, Web site address, and contact information, which will be posted near your advice column. IECA Pins Available to Order
We take pride in our members, who are well respected in the educational consulting and academic communities. We hope you will look for numerous opportunities to wear your IECA pin, and differentiate yourself with pride, such as on college and school tours, at conferences, and when you give presentations. Peer Support
IECA TalkList
One of IECA’s most popular activities is our TalkList. Any professional, or associate member with an e-mail address is eligible to be added to this dynamic service. Student members can be added as “read only” participants. The TalkList allows members to send questions, comments, requests, or suggestions of interest to all their fellow IECA members with a single e-mail.
The IECA TalkList is exclusively for IECA member consultants and cannot be accessed by non-members. Members who wish to be subscribed to the TalkList must read, sign and return the TalkList Subscriber Agreement form to the IECA office by fax or e-mail. Your subscription will be activated upon receipt of the form and additional instructions will follow by e-mail. Click here to download/print the Agreement.
IECA Consultant Mentors Available
The IECA Outreach Committee extends the offer of having your own mentor during the first year, or at any time during your consultancy. Some mentees have more than one mentor for different specialties. IECA recently published a Mentoring Guide (New!), which you can download here; the mentoring application is located on the next to last page of the guide.
